Having a new puppy in the home is lots of fun, your cute fluffy bundle is full of life and loves running around, enjoying his new environment. When he is tired he will simply flop down and sleep. The biggest issue which you will run into is knowing when they need to go to the bathroom. You will have to learn how to potty train your puppy quickly.

Puppy Potty Training Techniques
You will have to show your puppy where to go to the bathroom. Taking them outside frequently will get them accustomed to this. It is recommended that you take them out at least five or six times a day. If they do have an accident in the home, simply tell them no and take them out into your backyard. They will soon start to associate the backyard with the place to go to relieve themselves.
Watch your puppy's actions, if they start to act differently, ask them if they have to go and take them out. Give them time to do their thing as dogs like to sniff around and find the perfect spot.
The more you pay attention to your puppy you should be able to gauge when it is bathroom time. Think about how often you go yourself. Your puppy will need to go more often. If they drink a lot of water then you know that shortly they will have to go outside. Try to think ahead of the game, offering too many opportunities to go outside is better than not offering enough.
It will take time to potty train your puppy, but by being consistent this can easily be accomplished in a week. In the meantime you can use several potty training tools such as laying newspaper down in your home. If you use newspaper or pads and they do become soiled, immediately take the paper outside along with your puppy. Place the newspaper on the grass and show the puppy where they are supposed to go. They will associate the urine smell with the grass and make the connection.

By putting time and effort into your puppy potty training techniques you will easily have a well-trained dog in a very short time.
